Octobre 1990, au milieu des collections d’été. Jean-Paul avait présenté son défilé la veille et ce samedi là, André Léon Talley (contributeur du Vogue US) m’avait demandé de l’accompagner pour une soirée avec Madonna et Gaultier.

Nous étions une trentaine à dîner dans un restaurant créole de Saint-Germain-des-Prés puis vers deux heures du matin, nous sommes partis dans une boîte un peu spéciale, Les Boys, située au bord de la Seine dans les anciens Grands Moulins de Paris.

Ils ont fait la fête toute la nuit, j’ai pris quelques photos et suis rentré plus tôt qu’eux. Le lendemain, j’avais six défilés à couvrir.

October 1990, during the summer collections. Jean-Paul had presented his show the day before and on this Saturday, Andre Leon Talley (editor-at-large for the U.S. Vogue) had asked me to accompany him for a party with Madonna and Gaultier.

We were about thirty people having dinner in a Creole restaurant in Saint-Germain-des-Prés.  Then at  two o’clock in the morning, we left in a kind of special nightclub, ” The Boys “, on the banks of the Seine in the former Great Mills of Paris.

They partied all night long, I took some photos and went home earlier than them. The next day I had to cover six fashion shows.
